About La Molineta - El Huerto Holiday Villa

Nestling against a backdrop of hills between Nerja (4km) and Frigiliana (1km) La Molineta is a 300 year old watermill in a small hamlet of houses within a surrounding wall and has recently been declared a ?Protected Property of Outstanding Attraction? by the Spanish authorities. Lovingly restored over the last 40 years each of the houses has its own individual character and furnishings much superior to the usual holiday villa. It has been featured in several interior design magazines and the larger houses in particular are furnished with antiques fine paintings and other works of art. The houses are entirely private from each other and are on different levels linked by a series of steps and pathways. The beautiful terraced gardens are a special feature of La Molineta and are full of colour scented shrubs and fruit trees. Each has its own private garden BBQ and terrace as well their own private pools. Wood burning stoves are provided for cooler evenings. The houses can be booked individually by couples or families or 2 or more houses can be taken together by a larger party. There is ample parking to one side of the hamlet whilst El Huerto has its own space adjacent to the house. El Huerto (or The Orchard) is just below El Molino at the back of the hamlet this beautiful cottage is the ultimate romantic hideaway and has a wonderful private lawned garden filled with fruit trees as well as a swimming pool (7m x 3m depth 1.1m to 2m - incredibly rare in a villa for just 2 people!) with views of the mountains and coast. From the parking area a pathway with some steps leads up through the gorgeous garden to a long shaded dining terrace and then into a spacious and comfortable lounge/dining room with Satellite TV DVD and CD player. Kitchen with cooker fridge microwave and washing machine double bedroom with dressing room and full bathroom. Cleaning twice weekly with linen changed weekly.
