South Norwood is an urban town with the benefit of leafy, quiet surroundings. It is in the London Borough of Croydon, so very easy access from Gatwick (M23) or Heathrow (M25). Train access into Central London is frequent and efficient:

London Bridge: 11 minutes for Tower Bridge, The London Dungeons, The London Experience, Borough Market, Vinopolis.

Waterloo East: 25 minutes for The London Eye, The Golden Hinde, The London Aquarium

Charing Cross: 35 minutes: for Leicester Square, The Strand, Covent Garden, Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square.

Just 10 minutes walk from the property is the 125 acre Country Park with an 18... hole Pitch and Putt 3 par golf course.

15 minutes walk away is South Norwood Lakes which is used by the Croydon Sailing Club and local anglers who fish for carp, bream and perch. There are also many other parks and children's playing facilities in between.

There is a public sports centre and swimming pool, and a public library. The town has a high street which forms part of Selhurst Road which includes a number of banks, estate agents, pubs, boutiques and a coffee house. Portland Road also has many restaurants form Chinese to Ghanaian to delight the palate.

Regular buses and trains into Central London and trams, trains/ buses into Croydon (a great shopping area) - parks and green space ( Norwood Lakes, Crystal Palace Park, South Norwood Country Park) means that South Norwood offers the best of both worlds and an adequate balance between peace and quiet and the hustle and bustle of city life!
