Within half a mile is the station at Tan Y Bwlch where visitors can take a trip on the famous narrow gauge railway as it winds its way down from the slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog through spectacular scenery to its journeys end at the picturesque harbour in Porthmadog (6 miles). The Italianate village of Portmeirion location of the cult TV series The Prisoner is 4 miles distant and a choice of superb sandy beaches and championship golf courses lie within 10 miles.
