Dolo is located in a small valley and sits at one end of the lake and is often described as an oasis in the middle of greenery. Its architectural heritage granite mansions and central square have earned it the title of Petite Cit de Caract re. Visit the market on a Friday morning and pick up some local delicacies. Discover the rich past of the town including the stunning C13th Ch teau de la Hunaudye ruin. Of course a great many leisure activities are also available including water sports rambling and fishing. Pretty sandy beach 40 km. The lovely pirate stronghold of medieval Dinan with its half timbered houses and picturesque port is just 25 km. Colourful markets shops bars and restaurants serving traditional seafood are plentiful. A 50 min drive will take you to Dol de Bretagne with its pretty cobbled streets and mansions. Market day is Saturday and there are plenty of places to dine. The Cathedral of Saint Samson is well worth a visit. 57 km from the beautiful walled city of St Malo.
